The first five words that come to mind when holding and feeling into the energy of Rhodochrosite are:
Deep Healing, Emotional Release, Empathy, Unconditional Love, and Forgiveness.
Rhodochrosite is my absolute favorite crystal and was the first crystal I really felt called to. I was headed up north to look at venues with my husband for our wedding and we stopped by a crystal shop on our way. I was pretty exposed to crystals at the time, but had never seen rhodochrosite before. As I walked in, I saw a rhodochrosite pyramid. I didn't purchase it, but couldn't stop thinking about it from that day on. We went to our very first gemshow shortly after and I told my husband I specifically wanted a rhodochrosite pyramid. Moments later, there she was, my rhodochrosite pyramid! I was so shocked to have found it because rhodochrosite is a more rare stone. At the time I didn't understand why I was so pulled to rhodochrosite, but now I do. Rhodochrosite has been my companion through so much of my own healing journey, through trauma, learning what it meant love myself and others unconditionally, renewing passion for life, inner courage, loving my body, and opening my heart back up to love. The energy, for me, is unmatched to any other crystal, especially when it comes to healing of the heart.
MOHs Hardness: 3.5-4
Precautions: Rhodochrosite is a softer stone, so I would not recommend using it in water. Also, the color will fade after prolonged exposure to sunlight, however, a quick 5-10 minute charge is okay!
Chakra: Heart
Zodiac Signs: Scorpio, Taurus, Cancer, and Pisces
Elements: Fire and Water
Affirmation: “I open my heart to love others, the way I so deeply love myself.”
Crystal Pairings: Morganite for grief or loss. Emerald for deep healing and emotional support. Rose Quartz for opening your heart up to unconditional love.
Where To Place In Your Home (Feng Shui): Rhodochrosite has a very intense energy that I would recommend using in either your bedroom or sacred/zen space. Its energy holds both fire and water, something that is both intense, yet gentle. It has the intense energy of malachite, but soft/gentle energy of rose quartz all in one.
