The first five words that come to mind when holding and feeling into the energy of Smoky Quartz are: Connection, Grounding, Emotional Balance, Presence, and Stability.
Did You Know?: The beautiful brown color in Smoky Quartz is Mothers Natures design of using natural radiation to activate color through aluminum impurities within the quartz. Many times you will see Smoky Quartz heat treated in a lab to recreate this color or to enhance the smoky quartz color to be a darker brown.
To Use: If you are feeling like your mind is full of irrational fears or chaotic thoughts, pause, and take time for yourself out in Mother Nature. Hold a smoky quartz in one hand or cupped in both for a meditation outside where you can realign yourself from within and connect yourself to the presence within you and all around you.
MOHs Hardness: 7
Precautions: It is safe to cleanse smoky quartz with water or put it outside in the sun. However, I would suggest avoiding direct sunlight for prolonged period of time as the color may fade through time.
Chakra: Root
Zodiac Signs: Capricorn, Scorpio, Taurus, and Virgo
Element: Earth
Affirmation: “I am grounded in my body and present in the now moment."
Crystal Pairings: Black Tourmaline or Black Obsidian for grounding. Lepidolite for supporting emotional balance and inner peace. Blue Lace Agate for communication and cooperation with others. Amethyst for helping relieve any chronic pain, such as migraines or cramps.
Where To Place In Your Home (Feng Shui): A Child's Bedroom or Your Front Entry to invite the energy of safety, warmth, and grounding.
