Story & How To Use:
Amethyst was the very first crystal I ever owned. My husband bought it for me when we were both recovering from our addictions. Ever since, amethyst has been a staple in every room of our home. It brings an abundance of protection and peace. It’s a pretty gentle stone and is one of the few crystals I can have all throughout my home without feeling overwhelmed by its amazing energy. If you are a beginner to crystals, amethyst should be at the top of your list to start off with! It is abundant and easy to get your hands on, plus it serves so many purposes guiding you in the right direction towards a loving healing journey. Amethyst is one of the more affordable crystals and also some of the largest crystals ever found.
Amethyst (amethystos) is named after the ancient Greeks, who believed amethyst prevented drunkenness. They would carve amethyst into drinking goblets, fill them with water to look like wine, and keep it next to them while they drank wine to prevent intoxication.
This crystal works well with the following Zodiac signs.

All varieties of quartz such as: Clear Quartz, Citrine, Rose Quartz, and Smoky Quartz. If using amethyst for protection, it pairs very well with Black Tourmaline, Jet, or Black Obsidian. If using amethyst for overcoming any recurring negative thoughts or addictions, it pairs very well with kyanite.
Any Room! Amethyst is one of the few crystals that you can place in any room of your home to create a more blissful environment. The only place I wouldn’t suggest placing your amethyst is outside in your garden, unless you don’t mind it losing its precious deep purple color.
